An Account Executive will be in contact to obtain all required documentation (outlined in the New Account Setup Form) and to execute a New Service Agreement between your organization and UPI.

Once a New Service Agreement is signed and processed, a UPI customer number will be established for you, as well as a login and password for online ordering.

Electronic 222

UPI offers Electronic 222 (CSOS) ordering for all Schedule II controlled substances.  Express 222, UPI’s controlled substance ordering system, aligns with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and drug industry leaders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness associated with controlled substance ordering. 

Electronic 222 (e-222) ordering takes roughly 20 seconds, versus the 20 minute paper form.  The elimination of the paper Form 222 reduces the time it takes to receive an order by one to two days. 

Hospitals interested in Electronic 222 (e-222) must obtain a digital certificate from the DEA to participate.
